UH Cullen College of Engineering Prof. Sergey Shevkoplyas has been inducted into the AIMBE College of Fellows, only the 9th ever at the University of Houston.
He is joining an elite group of Fellows in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, including Jerome Schultz, Professor Emeritus, who founded AIMBE; Metin Akay, John S. Dunn Endowed Chair Professor and founding chair of the department; and Kirill Larin, Cullen Endowed Chair and current chair of the department. The AIMBE College of Fellows is among the highest professional honors in the field, reserved for the top 2% of medical and biological engineers worldwide.
